Mobile market leaders continue to decline until end 2005

Stuttgart, Germany – 14th December, 2005 – Mobile market leaders experience in their home market continuously declining market shares as competition heats up with new entrants such as MVNOs. The latest data from Teleseeq, InfoCom´s market intelligence solution, shows that in 2005, TIM will experience the largest drop in market share over the period among the selected companies, losing around 3 percentage points to 44,8% of the market end-2005. Telefonica still acounts for most of the Spanish mobile market at 50,4%, down from 52,8%, while estimates put Orange with the same market share as TIM with 44,8%. O2 is the only company that slightly inverted the trend in 2005.
