The study analyses the potential of various radio broadband technologies, firstly as compared to fixed broadband technologies (in particular DSL) and secondly between themselves.

The report also looks at what types of projects and existing services the various actors develop and market, highlighting how these different technologies fit in their strategy and positioning in the market.

The radio broadband technologies examined are WLAN, WiMAX, UMTS (including UMTS-HSDPA and HSUPA), and flash OFDM, as well as some others (Motorola Canopy, 802.20 etc.) if relevant.
