Public WLAN hotspots in Austria

In the early years of public WLAN services, Austria quickly climbed up the ladder of the countries with the highest number of hotspots. In early 2005, it ranked at around place 5 regarding the number of all its public WLAN hotspots. Taking also into account its geographic size and number of inhabitants and thus potential users, this made Austria even more one of the leading countries worldwide as far as its WLAN hotspot density was concerned.
