Broadband evolution in Eastern Europe

The following article provides an overview of the evolution of broadband (xDSL and cable modem)
connections in four Eastern European countries, i.e. the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.
The analysis focuses on the growth in broadband connections, its relation to population penetration
and the role of the incumbent operator in terms of market share. The data provided in this article
will show the evolution of the broadband market in the period between 4Q03 and 1Q05.
