Fig. 1 shows us the top-20 telecommunications operators in terms of service revenues. These 20 operators generated about $680bn i.e. around 58% of total revenues for all services in 2005.

Helped by the merger of former Bell companies AT&T and SBC, the newly named AT&T holds the top spot in 2005 with a market share of 6.7%, followed by 2004's top telecom operator NTT with 6.4%. More...
