Mobile Data Services

This article discusses the trends for mobile data services, and provides an outlook for the coming six years, based on our analysis of these trends. Mobile data services are all non-voice data services and include in particular SMS, MMS, mobile Internet and mobile business applications. The article focuses on the big five Western European countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK), on Japan, the US and finally Brazil, as an example of an emerging market. More...
